Amparo is a free service providing support to those who have been bereaved, or otherwise affected by, suicide in the Kent and Medway area.
To introduce the service to local stakeholders, we have arranged a series of free briefing sessions. Each repeated session will cover the role of Amparo and how to refer someone for support, so simply book on the date that’s most convenient for you.
Over 650 people have now attended or booked a place on similar sessions across other areas of the country where Amparo operates, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The 40 minute sessions, delivered via Zoom by Amparo’s service manager Sammy Ashley, have been popular with staff working in organisations ranging from the police, the NHS, social care and the voluntary and community sectors. “We’ve been very encouraged at the response and have organised additional sessions to meet the demand,” says Sammy.
There are a maximum of 16 places on each session.
