Following a successful period delivering the Amparo postvention service across Cheshire and Merseyside, we can confirm that responsibility for the service will transfer to The Martin Gallier Project from 1st August 2026.
We have worked closely with the new provider to support a smooth transition, ensuring continuity of support and appropriate handover arrangements for people currently receiving the service.
We would like to thank everyone who has placed their trust in Amparo over the years, as well as our commissioners, partners and stakeholders who have worked alongside us to support people bereaved or affected by suicide across the region.
From 1st August 2026, all new referrals for Cheshire and Merseyside should be made directly to The Martin Gallier Project, who will provide support across the region.
