Our Liaison Workers signpost beneficiaries and help them with referrals to a wide variety of organisations and services so that they receive the most appropriate support for their individual needs.

Local organisations:

  • Age UK Portsmouth A local, independent charity committed to helping older people in Portsmouth to feel supported, engaged and above all love later life.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous Peer-led mutual aid fellowship to help people stop drinking. There are groups and meetings in Eastleigh, Winchester, Southampton, Bishops Waltham, Romsey, Totton, Locks Heath, Fareham and more.
  • Andy’s Man Club A men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. There are local groups in Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Alton.
  • Havant & East Hants Mind Havant and East Hants Mind work to promote good mental health and seek to support and empower people to lead a full life as part of their local community. Havant & East Hants Mind also deliver Suicide Postvention & Prevention in the Workplace.
  • NHS Community Mental Health Team Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust provide a wide range of community-based mental health services for people who need ongoing support for their mental health issues.
  • NHS Steps 2 Wellbeing Dorset & Southampton Steps2Wellbeing is a free, NHS Talking Therapies service for adults over 18 years old in Dorset and Southampton City.
  • NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire help treat common mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.
  • No Limits No Limits offer free information, advice and help to children & young people under the age of 26 in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.
  • ManGang ManGang is a network of men who believe that it’s not weak to speak. ManGang provide a peer to peer platform for men across Hampshire who struggle with the pressures of modern day life.
  • Isle of Wight Community Mental Health Support Hub A wide range of resources to signpost you to the support you need to help you manage your mental health.
  • Solent Mind Solent Mind make sure that anyone with a mental health problem has somewhere to turn to for advice and support. Their mental health experts can help if you feel low, worried or anxious and need to talk.
  • SOBS Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide offer UK peer-led support to adults impacted by suicide loss. There are groups in Winchester and Southampton.
  • Voices Voices is a collective of People with Living Experience of Suicide. Voices work collaboratively with organisations across Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight to offer strong guidance, advice and signposting on suicide-related action.

National organisations:

  • Anxiety UK Anxiety UK strives to improve the quality of life for anyone affected by anxiety, stress or anxiety-based depression by providing a range of services.
  • ASSIST Trauma Care ASSIST Trauma Care employs experienced therapists trained to work with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the after-effects of trauma in line with current evidence-based practices.
  • CAB CAB’s network of independent charities offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free.
  • CALM A suicide prevention charity on a mission to help people end their misery, not their lives.
  • Childline Childline is here to help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through.
  • Cruse Cruse Bereavement Support help people through one of the most painful times in life – with bereavement support, information and campaigning.
  • Hub of Hope Chasing the Stigma (CTS) has launched the Hub of Hope – a national mental health database, bringing help and support together in one place.
  • INQUEST INQUEST is the only charity providing expertise on state related deaths and their investigation to bereaved people, lawyers, advice and support agencies, the media and parliamentarians.
  • Mind Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales that works to improve the lives of people with mental health problems.
  • Papyrus Papyrus is a charity for the prevention of young suicide (under 35) in the UK.

  • Shelter Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services.
  • Stay Alive App StayAlive is a suicide prevention resource for the UK, packed full of useful information and tools to help you stay safe in crisis.
  • Suicide&Co Suicide&Co supports those bereaved by suicide with information & resources to help navigate suicide-related grief.
